Dos and Don’ts of an Effective Telecollaboration Project

چکیده

This paper is based on the reflections from a telecollaboration project between English as foreign language (EFL) learners in Turkey and native or non-native speakers of USA. The main purpose was to help participants develop their intercultural communicative competence (ICC) via online (a)synchronous communication tools. Therefore, were engaged tasks, by which they could share thoughts about cultural issues expand (inter)cultural knowledge. findings showed that projects are potentially key developing users’ ICC, helping them acquire improve essential skills attitudes. However, study also all positive effects cannot be given itself. efficiency such relies certain dos don’ts with whoever will perform future requires careful. intends provide precise guidance designing together an understanding its constraints.
